Personal History
Mike Holmes graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 1971. He returned to his hometown of Odessa, Texas in 1974 and began practicing law in various firms. From 1981-1985, Mike served as Ector County District Attorney. After that term of service he became a solo practitioner. He has served as alternate Municipal Court Judge since 1989. Mike is the former President of the Odessa East Rotary Club and served on the Odessa Rehabilitation Board of Directors.
Mike has been married to his wife, Susan, for twenty years. They have five children and five grandchildren. He has a passion for jazz music and hosted a jazz radio show on the local NPR station for over 20 years.
